Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd March 2008, I missed my walk last weekend with having to work so I decided to make a 2-day trip to Ennerdale to make up for it. On Friday I walked from the western shore of Ennerdale Water, in very strong winds I climbed Grike, walked across Whoap and climbed Lank Rigg; I walked back to the Ennerdale fence and on to Caw Fell. I dropped back down to Silver Cove and descended by the side of Silvercove Beck to Ennerdale. On Saturday I walked from the car park at Bowness Knott to Low Gillerthwaite to climb Red Pike in the snow; it was cold, sunny and clear at the summit of Red Pike but it got very windy again as I walked the ridge to Starling Dodd and on to Great Borne before a tricky little descent by the side of Rake Beck back to Bowness Knott.
